We’ve decided to move forward with the request for information (RFI) for an organizational home for the Health Data Consortium (HDC). We think this will be a great way to explore the idea of finding a partner organization for HDC. An organizational home could reduce the initial overhead costs of space, legal oversight, and staff management and help us start doing real work sooner. We want to be helping organizations publish open health data that protects individuals’ privacy, and helping companies and organizations use that data to make new advances in health, instead of negotiating for office space.
If you’re interested, we hope you’ll download the RFI and consider responding. If you have any questions or want to talk about what it would mean to host HDC, please email me. We welcome your feedback and look forward to talking with some great potential partners.
